Recruiters launch Health and Care company

A Crewe-based recruitment group has launched a new company filling vacancies for registered nursing staff, support workers and care assistants.

Absolute Health and Care will provide recruitment support for local authorities, private healthcare providers and social care providers in North and South Cheshire as well as Shropshire.

Setting up the new, standalone company is another ambitious move by the Absolute Group which already has four recruitment companies in the region. It brought in an experienced healthcare recruitment manager and a registered nurse to get Absolute Health and Care off the ground.

Absolute Group’s managing director Jessica Marshall said that the healthcare sector was the next logical step in the group’s expansion because there was a gap in the market for a recruitment partner for healthcare providers.

“Our core values of a personal service are reflected on our mantra, “It's all about people” and this has helped us to set all the companies in the absolute Group apart in what are very competitive fields,” she said. “And we saw an opportunity to do exactly the same in the healthcare sector.

“We’re building an expert, professional and dependable service that supports local authorities, private healthcare providers and social care providers by providing a recruitment resource for qualified and registered nursing staff, support workers and care assistants for all grades.

“We’ll take the time to the provide exactly the right people in roles ranging from general or mental healthcare to supporting people in areas including learning disabilities and independent living.”

Colin Porter and Claire Robinson will head up the team that is initially based at Absolute Group’s main office on High Street in Crewe.

The new company has already secured a number of contracts with local health providers and has a rigorous process of screening for potential candidates for full-time and temporary positions in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines – as well as conducting advanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.

Mrs Marshall, who runs the company with husband and fellow director Dan, is predicting great things of the new company that brings to five, the number of firms owned by Absolute Group - which also includes Absolute Recruitment and Summit Executive Search in Crewe, Meadowbank Associates in Nantwich and Bralin Recruitment in Winsford.

She added: “We’re very excited about Absolute Health and Care because we’re introducing the way we want to run recruitment service to the healthcare sector and it’s a formula that has served us very well.”
