Green Hydrogen - Making it Real

Friday 8th October 2021 | 10am - 2pm | The Atrium, Daresbury Laboratory, Warrington, WA4 4AD

The UK’s recently published Hydrogen Strategy makes clear that alongside the national initiatives, businesses and communities need to make their own efforts to decarbonise. Across the country we currently see companies including bakeries, distilleries, breweries, boat-makers, road transport and agriculture starting their own hydrogen energy projects. Green Hydrogen: Making it Real will demystify the mechanics and shine a light on the possi-bilities of hydrogen for Cheshire and Warrington small-to-medium businesses (SMEs).

Hosted and funded by GISMO (Greater Innovation for Smarter Materials Optimisation) which is part-funded by the ERDF, Green Hydrogen: Making it Real is free for relevant busi-nesses in the region to attend! The purpose is to provide fully-funded access experts in the Materials Science Institute at Lancaster University - so if you want to explore your hydrogen potential further, they will help you to find the best solution and guide you through imple-menting it with a bespoke feasibility study.

Green Hydrogen: Making it Real brings together local and national hydrogen industry experts, to explain how you can use green hydrogen in your business, with real live project examples, and equipment - such as electrolysers, hybrid hydrogen vans and hydrogen bikes - to look at and ask questions about. Speaker presentation sessions from companies and projects such as HyNet NW, Mace, Bruichladdich Distillery, Orkney Hydrogen, Ulemco, and United Utilities will be followed by ‘equipment introductions’ and a themed-table Network-ing Lunch to allow you to have your own discussions and ask plenty of questions!
