Remote Auditing for Business

Introducing virtual compliance – Understanding Remote Auditing

Until we can return to normal site-based audits, we are pleased to be able to offer remote auditing, but what is remote auditing and how does it work?

Remote Auditing acknowledges the importance of safety and distancing during the Corona virus pandemic for the Business Owner/Operator. At the same time safety for those businesses still open or planning to open has never been more critical. This is where the remote audit offers remote surveillance alongside relevant Covid and health and safety advice. Remote Auditing enables us to deliver audit programs how and when you need them. The same trusted experts engage your team members wherever they are including multiple sites capabilities.

 What is a remote audit?

A remote audit is the same as an on-site audit, but the auditor engages with you via technology. It can still cover document and record review, tours of your premises, interviews with workers and presentation of findings by using a range of virtual platforms including:

· Live web streaming technology such as, Zoom or Microsoft Teams

· Live streaming paired with mobile technology such as a smartphone or tablet with video capabilities (e.g. WhatsApp, Skype or Facetime)

Apple Safety Services work with you in advance of the audit to ensure underlying technology is in place and compatible.

 Reporting

1) Once the audit has been completed a report including an indicative score will automatically be generated for the client. The report will identify areas of strengths and weakness. Ths will also include a headline summary along with the auditor’s recommendations.

2) The audit report pack will include a signed certificate of completion.

3) A re-auditing service is also available to assess effectiveness of remedial actions.

What are the benefits of a Remote Audit?

1) Helps to ensure peace of mind during the Covid 19 pandemic

2) Identifies areas of noncompliance as well as remedial actions.

3) Given current social distancing requirements, it is also a safer and more cost and time effective compliance option.

4) Forms part of the Due Diligence process and provides an audit trail.

5) Can help to improve compliance scores.

6) Can be used to benchmark across multiple sites.

The remote audit experience delivers great feedback and results whilst remaining Covid secure. Please contact our sales team at sales@applesafetyservices.com or call us on 01270 482325 if you need any advice or would like to discuss further.
