The Butterflies at Trentham Gardens

Butterflies represent endurance, change, hope and life. They are often a symbol of fragile and short lives – much like the lives of the children and young people at The Donna Louise, whose precious time is cut short by illness.

The Butterflies is a bold collaboration between Staffordshire businesses, the local ceramics industry, education, charity, art and engineering – all working together to bring about the largest ever locally produced ceramic art installation in Stoke-on-Trent. Every business and individual collaborating to bring the art installation to life has donated time, expertise and often materials to make this vision a reality and raise significant funds for The Donna Louise. You can visit the fabulous display at Tentham Gardens from May until 3rd November, once the display comes down the butterflies are packaged and sent to their new home.

You can purchase a butterfly and your piece of history here:

You also get a free day pass into the gardens with your purchase, the pass is worth £12.
