Dabbers Den Winners 2017 Announced

Dabbers Den 2017 winner announced

With social media having a greater influence than ever on the way that Women now shop, this year’s Dabbers Den Winner has been able to tap into this this to launch and promote her brand.  We are delighted to announce that the winner of Dabbers Den 2017 is The Fashion Haus.

Eliza Burgis, is the founder and driving force behind The Fashion Haus, an online women’s fashion company.  Eliza saw a gap in the market for unique beautiful clothing and coupled with her passion for fashion decided to launch a company that sold the clothes she wanted to buy.  The Dabbers Den judges were extremely impressed by Eliza’s initiative and determination and also her sales success since starting the company in January this year.

On receiving the news of her success Eliza commented: “I honestly cannot tell you how much this means to me and my business. I am absolutely ecstatic, I can't even begin to express this in words.  I’m truly just so grateful for this opportunity”.

The Dabbers Den competition is now in its 6th year and 2017 saw the highest number of entries to date.  The shortlisted applicants were invited to pitch their business plans and ideas to the Judges in the Den.  The standard of pitches was extremely high and the judges had a difficult task to make a final decision.

As first place winners The Fashion Haus will receive a £5,000 cash prize, 12 months accountancy and business mentoring from Howard Worth Accountants and a Business Legal Health check to the value of £2,500 by Poole Alcock Solicitors.

Mike Doherty, a partner at Howard Worth, said: “It was refreshing to see a young entrepreneur with such enthusiasm for what she does.  Eliza is proof that by working hard, doing something you love can really pay off.  We hope that she uses this win to bolster her confidence and it enables her to push her business to the next level”.
