Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Many small to medium size business have no business continuity or disaster recovery plan instead relying on the ‘it will not happen to us ‘ thinking, yet almost 1 in 5 businesses will be affected by some form of  disruption every year.  Every business is at risk of disruption from a variety of external and internal  threats including fire, flood, loss of power, loss of data or even loss of staff. 80% of businesses (without a continuity plan) that are hit by a major incident either fail to reopen or close within 18 months.

What is Business Continuity?
Data facilitates your core business. Unplanned events like natural disasters, technology failures, malicious activity, or user errors are likely to impair (or halt) your operations with downtime.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery is based on these three principles:
Protecting data and systems
Redundant copies of data to protect you from ransomware
Virtual compatibility to recreate IT infrastructure on the fly

By developing a planned response to include effective measures to reduce disruption, your business can mitigate risks against the potential outcomes of an external or internal event including:
• Loss of reputation and or customers
• Breach of regulations and subsequent penalties
• Complete business failure
• Staffing issues
• Impact on insurance premiums

The Atlas Business Group and partner Datto will guide delegates through a series of scenarios and potential implications as well as signposting to building effective Business Continuity Plans & and Disaster Recovery using a range of tools.

Join us on Thursday 11th July to learn more about how you can protect against disaster, and ensure your business continuity plan is robust and reliable.

Delegates attending this event will also have the opportunity to have a complimentary taster viewing of the Secret Bunker museum.
