Understanding the role and requirements of HMRC in International Trade

This is a full day course which explores the many ways that companies may be required to engage with HMRC when trading internationally.

Who should attend:

This course is suitable for any company involved in export, including staff from sales, finance and export order processing (everyone has a stake in getting this right).

What we will cover:

Throughout the day you will be given an overview of the various 'touch points' with HMRC as you trade in international markets.

  • From commodity codes to customs clearance (and everything inbetween) including CHIEF and the NES
  • VAT/EORI
  • Union Customs Code
  • AEO Status
  • Intrastat, and EC Sales Lists
  • Proof of export and other compliance issues

This is an interactive workshop with a combination of group and individual exercises to facilitate the learning process, along with supporting course materials.  The trainer can offer practical advice and guidance throughout the day.

The cost for members is £225 + VAT (£270) - you can book and pay online.

The cost for non-members is £275 + VAT (£330) - please contact Lauren Readin or Jacqui Morris at the Chamber to book your place.
