Interested in learning the basics of 3D printing?

Many people are intrigued by 3D printing but the myth of printers being so expensive often means that most people are put off pursuing the idea.

About the course:

This course will take you through the 3D printing process from the very begining. Starting with an outline of the parts of printer along with how they work and the different types of plastic filament that can be used for the models you design.

The course will use a XYZ Printing da Vinci 1.0 Pro 3-in-1 3D Printer as the basis for learning.

You will discover how to set up, calibrate and operate a 3D printer and how to design simple 3D models using Autodesk 3D Studio Max software.

We will cover:

  • How 3D printing works
  • How to setup a 3D printer
  • Printer settings
  • A basic understanding of the software (Autodesk 3D Studio Max)
  • File sources and formats
  • Modifying existing designs
  • Making your own creation
  • A 3D print to take away (time dependant)

All attendees are required to book a place on the course using Eventbrite.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: This event is Free but places are strictly limited and eligibility applies. Your business/employer must be an SME with a head office based in Cheshire and Warrington LEP area. ESF SME definition and De Minimis Aid Rules apply.
