Company Profile
Cheshire Ecology Ltd. was established in 2013. Most clients will require an Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey, which provides the basic information for a planning application. This looks for evidence of protected species, such as badgers, water vole, great crested newts, reptiles and bats. It also provides a vegetation map and list of the plants that were found on the site.

The company is managed by Dr Martin Page, a highly experienced plant ecologist who worked on the National Vegetation Classification and the 2007 Countryside Survey. Martin has worked as an ecologist for the past ten years, prior to which he worked for the Royal Horticultural Society. He has written and edited several books about gardening and provides planting lists for new developments. His main interest is habitat restoration.

Most of our company's work is local, but we also carry out surveys for wind farms in Scotland and solar farms in Wales.
