Dabbers Den Competition

The Dabbers’ Den returns with a vengeance.

Nantwich and East Cheshire entrepreneurs are once again being invited into the Dabbers’ Den to showcase their new business or business idea.

Following the success of the competition over the past two years, the Dabbers’ Den are returning in 2014, and this year they are raising the stakes with an extended catchment area and the biggest cash prize to date.

Event organisers Howard Worth Chartered Accountants and Poole Alcock Solicitors have yet again teamed up with support of Cheshire East Council and NatWest to launch the competition and this year are excited to announce the addition of The Residence restaurant and bar to the judging panel.

Does your new business or business idea have what it takes to wow the Dabbers’? - There’s a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring Cheshire entrepreneur to win financial backing and invaluable business mentoring in this year’s competition.

The competition, launched on 1st July 2014, will be accepting applications until 30th September 2014 for proposals for businesses that will operate, wholly or partly, from within the CW1, CW2, CW3, CW5, CW6, CW11, CW12, ST7 postcode areas. The judges will shortlist the finalists for their panel interviews in October 2014.

The winner will receive a prize of £5,000, the offer of accountancy mentoring by Howard Worth for 12 months and the offer of 12 months’ legal mentoring by Poole Alcock LLP.

Howard Worth partner Mike Doherty said: “Due to the continuing success of the Dabbers’ Den, we are eager to find the next inspiring entrepreneur of East Cheshire who we can assist in making their first steps to business success with a very useful cash injection and ongoing expert advice. I am delighted that we are teaming up with Poole Alcock, Cheshire East Council and NatWest once again, and we are enthusiastic in welcoming the Residence restaurant and bar to our judging panel; it’s great to be part of developing new business in our community.”

Entrants must be over 18 and their proposal must be for a new business idea or a business that had not begun trading by 1st June 2013. The competition is free to enter and there is no limit on the number of entries per person.

Entries can be made by visiting the website www.dabbersdencompetition.co.uk or Dabbers’ Den Competition, Howard Worth, Bank Chambers, 3 Churchyardside, Nantwich, CW5 5DE.
