International Trade

Export Documentation Advice, Guidance and Service

The South Cheshire Chamber provides International trade advice and best practise for Exports worldwide.

Paul Wilcox and Kevin Ledwith from DIT and UKEF work in conjunction with the South Cheshire Chamber to offer up to date information, support and guidance in overseas trade, customs and government legislations. The Chamber also offers a dedicated Export Documentation Service, Issuing Arab and European Certificates of Origin, EUR-1 and A.TR Movement Certificates.

All these services are discounted to chamber members by up to 50%.

The export documents are often required for:

  • To meet customs requirements in the country of export.
  • To meet 'quota' requirements imposed by the importing country.
  • To comply with banking and customs requirements.
  • For International trade official and commercial reasons.

In the UK, the officially designated authorities for the issue of EC Certificates of Origin are Chambers of Commerce.

An EC Certificate of Origin is available to all businesses in the UK at a cost of £42.00 ex vat, but Chamber members receive a 50% discount.

Export Britain

Export Britain is the online resource by the British Chambers of Commerce which is designed to support businesses at every stage of their export journey.

The website showcases opportunities in key international markets and links UK exporters to support available from British Chambers and business groups both in the UK and around the world.

The site also helps growing and prospective exporters navigate through the export journey by signposting the support available every step of the way. Additionally, it provides information on export training and documentation, events and trade missions, and inspiring case studies featuring successful UK exporters.

Working with DIT

Department for International Trade is the government department that helps UK-based companies succeed in global markets and assists overseas firms in bringing their high-quality investment to the UK.

Businesses wishing to begin exporting or improve their export performance can obtain help from both the Chamber and DIT.

Through a range of unique services, including participation at selected trade fairs, outward missions and providing bespoke market intelligence,DIT can help you enter foreign markets and quickly understand overseas regulations and business practice.

The Chamber is a delivery partner for the Department for International Trade contract so members and non-members can get support from the dedicated International Trade Team.
